Hi to all,
Just before our International Workshop in Queenstown our group took a few days to visit and sail along the waters of Doubtful Sound, on the west coast of the South Island of New Zealand. This area is a nature wilderness area with trees and vegetation still in its primeval state – just a pristine area of the country.
As we set out again we passed some unimaginable landscapes of mountains, farming and snow capped peaks.
Our PMC travellers could not believe all these are real and not just out of a tour book.
As we set off on the river cruiser we were a happy band of travellers. Some worked, some ate and others slept. The trip around the Sound provided many magic moments of picturesque scenes and again, worthy of many movie scenes.
Some of the group went out boating, to get up close and personal to the wilderness areas.Others jumped into the kayaks and joined the water nymphs to see the wildlife. While others took to slightly larger boats with their life jackets.
But after a day on the water it was back to the large boat for the sunset and of course dinner in the warm areas of the boat.
Next day we were up early for the sun rising over the mountains and making great shadows on the still water.
Now ready for our return trip to the home base at Queenstown.
Then when we all arrived we had a long cold drink in the bar to end the day.
Kind Regards
Wendy
