Travelling on the QM2 – Part 1

Property ClubPostcards0 Comments

Hi all

Just to let you know that we are sailing on the Queen Mary 2, the largest Cunard vessel in its fleet of passenger ships. Although we are told that QM2 is not a ship but the only true liner in the world. This is due to the fact that it does not cruise to a destination as other passenger ships but voyages around the world.

After a lunch with friends, we took our travel photos against the QM2 at dock, in Sydney’s Circular Quay. We then boarded and made our way to our cabins.

We wanted to unpack and then relax, with a toast to our next 19 days of being on the most stable liner in the world. No sea sickness on board this boat.

A short toast to this adventure and the days of entertainment to follow.

After the unpacking and a light dinner we made our way to an early show of dancing girls and boys that had so much energy.

Then at 9:00 pm the QM2 set sail out of Sydney harbour.

The most delightful harbour in the world ( in my opinion).

The lights of Sydney Harbour are just the most impressive in the world.

Passing by the Sydney Opera House, on the back of deck 13, as you look down on the opera halls it is just amazing.

As we went out through the heads, there were fireworks above the Sydney Harbour Bridge that we could see over the headlands.

Just a great sight as we left on our voyage on the QM2.
